Aug 16, Kuwait News, (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Sunday, the registration of 508 new cases of the new Corona disease (Covid-19) during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 76,205 cases, while 3 deaths were recorded after She contracted the disease, bringing the total number of deaths registered to date to 501.
The Ministry’s spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that among the previous cases that had been confirmed were contacts with confirmed cases, and others under investigation for the source of infection and examining those in contact with them.
And he indicated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 117 cases, making the total of all cases that were confirmed to have (Covid-19) disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care 7569 cases.
He pointed out that the number of swabs that were performed during the past 24 hours amounted to 2863 swabs, bringing the total to 558,800 examinations.
Al-Sanad renewed the call for citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive means, avoid mixing with others, and be keen on implementing the strategy of physical distancing, recommending to visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities in the country to view the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
And the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced earlier today that 616 injuries had recovered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries from (Covid-19) to 68,135 cases. (End)

KUWAIT, Aug 16 (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Sunday, the recovery of 616 cases of (Covid-19) disease in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of people recovering from the disease in the State of Kuwait to 68,135 cases.
The ministry said in A statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that it has been confirmed that these cases are similar to recovery after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps followed in this regard. (End)
