Aug 18, Kuwait News, (KUNA)- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Tuesday, that 643 new cases of the new Corona disease (Covid-19) were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 77,470 cases, while 3 deaths were recorded. This brings the total number of deaths registered to date to 505.
The Ministry’s spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that among the previous cases that had been confirmed were contacts with confirmed cases, and others under investigation for the source of infection and examining those in contact with them.
He stated that the injuries were distributed according to the health regions, with 158 cases in Al-Ahmadi health district, 152 in Al-Jahra health district, 134 cases in Hawally Health District, 107 cases in Al-Farwaniyah and 92 cases in Capital Health District.
He indicated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 101 cases, bringing the total number of all cases that were confirmed to have (Covid-19) disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care, 7692 cases.
He pointed out that the number of swabs that were performed during the past 24 hours reached 5306, bringing the total to 568,440 tests.
Al-Sanad renewed the call for citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive means, avoid mixing with others, and be keen on implementing the strategy of physical distancing, recommending to visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities in the country to view the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.

Aug 18, Kuwait News, (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Tuesday, that 610 injuries recovered from (Covid-19) disease in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of people recovering from the disease in the State of Kuwait to 69243.
The ministry said in a statement to agency Kuwaiti News (KUNA) It was confirmed that these cases are similar to recovery after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps followed in this regard. (End)
