Aug 6, Kuwait News, (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, the registration of 620 new cases of new corona disease (Covid-19) during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 70045 cases, while one death was recorded After she fell ill, the total number of deaths recorded to date is 469.
Ministry spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that among the previous cases that were found to have been in contact with cases confirmed to be infected and others under investigation to find the source of infection and examine those in contact with it.
Al-Sanad indicated that the previous 620 cases of infection included 423 cases of Kuwaiti citizens, a rate of 68.23 percent, and 197 cases of non-Kuwaitis, a rate of 31.77 percent.
As for the distribution of injuries according to the health districts, he explained that they came by 220 in the Ahmadi health zone, 139 in the Jahra health region, 100 in the Al Farwaniyah health zone, 82 in the Hawali health area and 79 in the health capital region.
Regarding the latest developments in the intensive care departments, he pointed out that the number of people receiving medical care inside them reached 127 cases, making the total of all cases that were confirmed to have (Covid-19) disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care 7966 cases.
And that the number of smears that were performed during the past 24 hours reached 3599, with a total of 522,200 examinations.
He renewed the call of citizens and residents to continue to take all means of prevention and avoid contact with others and to ensure the application of the physical spacing strategy, recommending a visit to the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and the official authorities in the country to review the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to contain the spread of the virus.

Aug 6, Kuwait News, (KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, that 704 cases of newly emerging corona disease (Covid 19) have been cured during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovering from the disease in the State of Kuwait to 61,610 cases.
The ministry said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that it was confirmed that these cases were recovering after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps taken in this regard. (End)
