Aug 9, Kuwait news, (KUNA) – Today, Sunday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced the registration of 514 new cases of the new Corona disease (Covid-19) in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 71,713 cases, and four deaths were recorded following She contracted the disease, bringing the total number of deaths recorded to date to 478.
The spokesperson for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that among the previous cases that were confirmed to be infected were cases of contact with confirmed cases and others under investigation for the source of infection and examining contacts Her.
He said 359 cases of the new infections were Kuwaiti citizens, or 69.84 percent, and 155 non-Kuwaitis, or 30.16 percent.
Al-Sanad said 133 cases were in Al-Jahra medical area, 118 in Al-Ahmadi, 111 in Farwaniya, 83 in Hawally and 80 in the capital.
He added 115 patients were in the intensive care units, and that people receiving treatment were 7,716.
Medical workers conducted 3,223 swab tests in the past 24 hours, raising total swabs since outbreak of the virus to 532,353.
Al-Sanad called on the public anew to abide by physical distancing and follow hygienic regulations.
The MoH announced earlier 713 people recovered from the virus to reach a total of 63,519.

Aug 9, Kuwait News, (KUNA) — Kuwait Ministry of Health said Sunday 713 people recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours to raise total recoveries to 63,519.
The ministry added in a statement to KUNA the new recoveries were confirmed following necessary clinical tests. (end)
