Kuwait MOH Confirms 284 new cases of #Coronavirus #Covid19 in the last 24 hours & 2 new deaths, raising the total number of cases to 4024 

KUWAIT, April 30 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced 284 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of infections to 4,024, while two deaths were reported as well, bringing the total fatalities’ toll up to 26.
During a daily briefing, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 66 patients were in intensive care, 30 of them are in critical condition.

Those currently receiving treatment at hospitals reached 2,459 patients said the spokesperson. Today’s death cases were for two Indian males; aged 51 and 54, both had been receiving treatment at ICU.
Earlier today, Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of patients 150, bringing the total to 1,539 recoveries. (end)

Covid-19 kills 7, infects 552 in UAE – Health Min.

ABU DHABI, April 30 (KUNA) — The UAE’s Ministry of Health on Thursday announced seven additional fatalities, taking the country’s tally of confirmed deaths up to 105.

The ministry, in a press statement, also recorded 552 more infections with the highly contagious disease, raising its total number of infections to 12,481.

In addition, 100 patients have recovered from the respiratory illness, bringing the UAE’s total number of already treated people to 2,429, the ministry added.

Saudi Arabia confirms 5 deaths, 1,351 cases

RIYADH, April 30 – Saudi Arabia on Thursday reported five fatalities due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), taking the kingdom’s death toll to 162 so far.

The number of infections with the highly contagious respiratory disease shot up by 1,351 to 22,753 since the outbreak of the deadly bug in the kingdom, the Saudi Health Ministry’s Spokesman Mohammad Al-Abdulali said in a daily news briefing Thursday.

In addition, a total 210 patients have been cured of the Covid-19, raising the count of recoveries to 3,163, while 123 others are still languishing in intensive care units, the spokesman added.

Kuwait PM inspects field hospitals, quarantine facilities countering COVID-19 spread

KUWAIT, April 30 (KUNA) — His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah inspected, on Thursday, field hospitals and quarantine facilities constructed as part of efforts to counter the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kuwait.

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled visited first the facility in Al-Ardhiya — erected in coordination between the ministries of Health and Public Works — then inspected the facility in Mishrif area, which was established by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC).

The Prime Minister thanked all those who participated in the efforts to establish the facilities, saying that it came in line with directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in this regard.

Several state officials and ministers accompanied His Highness the Prime Minister during the inspection.
